1/19: Renewal Ministries Retreat: "God Grant me the Grace to Forgive"

Back by Popular Demand, Hosted by Calvin Church
“God, Grant me the Grace to Forgive” - Forgiving God, Ourselves, and Others
Have you been wounded by someone or do you have a friend who has suffered hurt, or injustice?
Perhaps you have done something you’ve had trouble forgiving yourself for?
Maybe you have a lifetime accumulation of grievances you keep tripping over?
Jesus speaks repeatedly about the need to forgive. In our hearts we want to experience the healing and freedom that comes with forgiveness. Yet we sometimes find it difficult to forgive, allowing ourselves to experience lingering feelings of hurt, resentment, and even anger . . .
Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness compels us, by the power of the Spirit to enter into the hard but grace-filled work of forgiveness. This retreat takes on the tough assignment we have to forgive. To forgive is to set a prisoner free – the other and ourselves!
Please feel free to extend the invitation to this retreat to anyone you know. While it is happening at Calvin, it is open to the community at large.
