HANDS ON MISSION PROJECT: FOR MATTHEW HOUSE located in Monroe, WA Parents in prison, children in crisis! Children who experience parental crime, arrest and incarceration are profoundly affected physically, mentally and emotionally. When a parent is arrested, little attention is paid to the needs of that parent’s child. Matthew House staff are there in Monroe at the beginning of incarceration to provide HELP and HOPE to the families. They provide food, clothing, counseling and referral, and transportation for visitation from all over the State of Washington. The house provides shelter, sleeping accommodations, a food bank, and a clothing room.

How can we help? How about putting together “Zipped with Love” baggies for women (maybe even some with children’s sizes of the contents)? The Zip-Lock bags could contain: Toothbrush, toothpaste, small package of tissue, small bar of soap, deodorant, tampons or pads, pair of socks, sample of perfume………..use your imagination!
