Whitworth University invites you to the 36th annual Institute of Ministry.
July 11-15, 2011
We invite you to join us for the 36th annual Whitworth Institute of Ministry, to take place July 11-15 on our beautiful campus here in Spokane, Washington. We are pleased to welcome this year’s WIM speakers:
F. Dale Bruner will lead our Bible hour and take us to the very heart of the church's witness in his teaching on the crucifixion and resurrection narratives. Karen Petersen Finch will help us apply Reformed theology through her reflections on "Calvin for Congregations." Timothy George will preach at our evening worship services considering the Word of God across the ages. We believe that together, these three gifted communicators will set the context for stimulating reflection, spiritual renewal and personal refreshment. Institute activities feature a daily Bible hour, Convocation hour, afternoon workshops, and evening worship services.
This year’s conference theme, Enduring Wisdom for the Church Today, will help us address the challenges of our time by asking questions about how the enduring wisdom of the past helps us experience God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ in our own fragile lives, in our struggling churches, and in our fractured, pain-filled world.
Each year, WIM provides an extraordinary opportunity for clergy and laity, and their spouses and children, to be encouraged in their lives and ministries. We hope you can join us for a week of spiritual encouragement, equipping for ministry, and inspiring worship. We strive to provide an enjoyable time for you, your family and leaders in your church. We look forward to seeing you at WIM this summer!
