From War Front to Home Front: Helping Veterans Heal

Seattle Presbytery

Faith leaders are in a unique position to serve service men and women returning from the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan and their families as they struggle with re-adjusting to life back home. On February 18th, we will be co-sponsoring a workshop for clergy and lay leaders of all faith communities on responses to and care for veterans of war. Come hear from Captain Virgil Thomas, US Army Chaplain and other veterans about mental health and readjustment issues (including family issues), military culture, and on how clergy and lay leaders can best support our veterans.
